Children: Children are welcome at LUX* South Ari Atoll. PLAY offers children between 3 and 12 years an opportunity to explore the wonders of island living, both its nature and culture, under the supervision of trained team leaders (open from 9am - 7pm). In addition Teddy Tennis lessons are available for children between the ages of 3 and 8 years, STUDIO 17 is open for guests aged from 12 to 17 years with activities including local dance and language classes, beach sport activities and adventure trips around the island.

Transfers: 25 minutes by seaplane from Male Airport.  Luggage allowance on seaplane transfers at 25kg per adult or child.  Each extra kilo is charged at $4USD.  Infants under 2 years do not have a baggage allowance. Folded cots & buggies may be taken as part of the parents’ allowance. If this brings the total weight to more than 25kg, then an excess will need to be paid. Guests staying at LUX* South Ari Atoll have exclusive access to a lounge at Male airport.

Facilities: 2 infinity swimming pools, tennis, table tennis, table football, a gym,  5* PADI dive centre, nightclub and 3 boutiques. A water-sports centre offers catamaran excursions, windsurfing, rubber ring rides, banana rides, water skiing, wake boards, jet skiing and fishing. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available.

Spa: LUX* ME offers luxurious facials, massages and scrubs as well as yoga classes and an array of exercise programmes.

Meal Arrangements: Room only, half, full board and all-inclusive options are available. The all-inclusive package includes breakfast at Mixe; lunch at Senses Lounge & Bar, Veli, Lagoon Bar or Beach Rouge; dinner at Senses, Allegria, Mixe or East Market; afternoon tea at Senses Lounge & Bar; and a selection of beverages throughout the day. 

Restaurants & Bars: Mixe is a buffet restaurant on the beach open for breakfast and dinner, with live cooking stations offering everything from wood-fired pizzas to stir fries and regular live entertainment. Senses Restaurant serves Middle Eastern and Indian Ocean cuisine by the infinity pool. East Market is an over-water restaurant inspired by Asian markets, serving dishes from Thailand, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines for dinner as well as European specialities at breakfast. Allegria Restaurant is open in the evening and serves Mediterranean dishes from an open kitchen. Umami serves Japanese cuisine in the evening in a chic, contemporary setting including sushi and teppanyaki. Beach Rouge serves wood-fired pizzas on the beach for lunch and dinner. Lagoon Bar, Veli Bar and Senses Lounge & Bar also serve snacks and light lunches, while Cafe LUX* is open throughout the day for barista-made coffee.

Dress Code: Casual dress, smart casual after 6.30 pm (shorts are not acceptable in the restaurant at dinner time).

Accommodation
The 187 pavilions, suites and villas all have sweeping views over the beach and lagoon - some are suspended on stilts over the water while others are set along the beach. All accommodation options have a furnished terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, LUX* bathroom amenities, a full length mirror, 48 inch satellite TV & home theatre system, telephone with IDD, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water, safe, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. Villas are furnished in a subtle style, using light sand and ochre tones to reflect the natural surroundings. 

Beach Pavilion: These semi-detached villas have a private furnished terrace, king size bed or twin beds and a bathroom with private garden and outdoor shower. Beach Pavilions can interconnect. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 teen/child/infant (60sqm)

Beach Villa: These spacious villas have a private furnished terrace leading onto the beach, a king size bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom with private garden and outdoor bathtub and shower. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 teens/children (95sqm)

Beach Pool Villa: These villas are located on the west side of the island and are similar to the Beach Villas but with the addition of a swimming pool in the private garden area. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 teen/child/infant (116sqm)

Romantic Beach Pool Villa: These villas offer direct access to the beach and lagoon, along with private swimming pools set amidst lush gardens. They feature their own secluded beach spot, and infinity pool with panoramic ocean views and tropical indoor-outdoor bathrooms with a spacious bathtub. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 tee/child/infant (136sqm) 

Water Villa: These luxurious villas are set on stilts over the water and have a king size bedroom, a dressing room and spacious bathroom with glass doors opening onto a furnished deck with direct access to the lagoon. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 teen/child (98sqm)

Romantic Pool Water Villa: These spacious villas are similar to the Water Villas but with sunrise views and the addition of a private swimming pool on the deck and a unique swinging love nest. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults (110sqm)

Temptation Pool Water Villa: These luxurious villas are similar to the Romantic Pool Water Villas but with a separate, glass-floored living room, a larger private pool on the deck and a Jacuzzi. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults (220sqm)

Family Lagoon Villa: These spacious two-bedroom villas are set on the beach overlooking the lagoon. Maximum occupancy: 4 adults + 2 teens/children or 2 adults + 4 teens/children/infants(130sqm)
