It isn’t a massive island, but it has one of the biggest beaches I have seen in the Maldives, almost football pitch size! I was buggied to my room which was a beautiful water villa at the end of the jetty, very private and quiet with good snorkelling directly from my oversized deck. Supper was brilliant in the all-inclusive restaurant, sitting over the water choosing from the extensive menu and sipping the chilled Pinot was definitely one of the highlights of this trip.
Children: Children are welcome, babysitting is available and there is a children’s menu in all the restaurants. Children aged up to 6 years old stay free of charge.
Airport Transfers: Constance Moofushi is reached by a 30 minute seaplane transfer from Male. Please note baggage allowance is 20kg and 5kg hand luggage per person on the Maldivian Air Taxi. On arrival at Male airport, guests will be escorted to a private seaplane lounge for Constance guests with food, drink and shower facilities.
Complimentary Activities: Swimming pool, non-motorised watersports including top cat (catamaran sailing requires compulsory orientation at cost), pedal boats, windsurfing, kayaking and snorkelling excursion with equipment included. There is a fully equipped gymnasium and beach volleyball.
Sports activities and excursions: Romantic getaway, sunset cruise on traditional Dhoni, all day desert island trip, dolphin search (on a speedboat or Dhoni), a local village excursion, traditional night fishing, private boat hire, big game fishing, snorkelling trip, diving (PADI). Excursions are payable locally.
Facilities: Internet access, infirmary, laundry service and a boutique
Spa: U Spa by Constance has 8 over-water treatment rooms (6 single and 2 double) and offers treatments using natural ingredients including geranium, ylang-ylang and eucalyptus. Treatments are available for children. Yoga classes are available in the pavilion or outside.
Meal Arrangements: Accommodation is on an all-inclusive basis and includes all meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the Manta restaurant, one a la Carte dinner at Alizee Beach grill and restaurant per stay per person, afternoon tea and pancakes at the Beach Bar, a special occasion cake (when known in advance), premium branded spirits and international beers, fresh fruit juices, soft drinks and mineral waters, cocktails and drinks from Constance signature drinks menu. There is an international wine list, a mini bar (restocked daily) and complimentary snacks available too. Snorkelling equipment, one Dhoni boat excursion, an off shore group snorkelling excursion and the weekly Bodu Meru Maldivian evening.
Restaurants & Bars: Constance Moofushi has two sand floored restaurants, both offering children’s menus. 'Manta' is the main buffet restaurant which has an extensive wine cellar, offering daily changing menu from wood-fired pizza to Maldivian specialities. 'Alizee' is an a la carte beach grill located a few metres from the sea, offering a selection of pizzas, hamburgers, sandwiches plus large salads with grilled fish and meat cooked on the charcoal grill. During the evening the grill offers a large selection of seafood dishes and other specialities. 'Manta Bar' is located next to the main restaurant and 'Totem Bar' bar is on the beach behind the pool, serving lunchtime snacks.
Accommodation
Constance Moofushi Resort has 24 Beach Villas, 56 Water Villas and 30 Senior Water Villas. All have individually crafted furnishings with wooden flooring and thatched palm ceilings and are sympathetically decorated to enhance a complete feeling of relaxation and tranquillity. All the villas have a furnished terrace, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, complimentary Wi-Fi, LCD TV, Mac mini entertainment system with movies and music on demand, iPod connection, CD/DVD facility, a telephone, mini bar, a safe and tea/coffee making facilities.
Beach Villa: Villas have large beds, contemporary bathrooms with a WC and a shower and a spacious seating area indoors plus a furnished terrace with a hammock outside. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 baby plus 1 extra person. (57sqm)
Sand Villa: Villas have large beds, contemporary bathrooms with double vanity units, WC and a shower and a spacious seating area indoors plus a large, furnished terrace with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. Located just steps from the ocean, these villas offer a combined feeling of both a Beach and Water Villa. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults plus 1 extra person. (66sqm)
Water Villa: These villas offer the same amenities as the Sand Villas, but boast an overwater setting with steps from the terrace leading into the ocean. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults plus 1 extra person. (66sqm)
Senior Water Villa: Villas have large beds, contemporary bathrooms with double vanity units, WC and a shower and a spacious seating area indoors plus a large, furnished terrace with steps to the ocean, an outdoor shower and bathtub, wicker seating and sun loungers. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults. (94sqm)
