Hotel Information»

Cooper Island Beach Club is a family-owned eco-resort which is located on the sandy shores of Manchioneel Bay, on a small island in the British Virgin Islands. The property offers an authentic, barefoot Caribbean experience with accommodation in ten stylish beachfront cottages and a chance to explore unforgettable underwater life.

Cooper Island Beach Club strives to be environmentally responsible, so its cottages have screened, louvred windows and ceiling fans which ensure that no air conditioning is needed. Most of Cooper Island Beach Club’s power is generated by the solar panel system, while rainwater is collected to feed into an irrigation system watering the flowers, fruit, vegetables and herbs that are grown on the island wherever possible. All the furniture in the cottages, restaurant and on the deck is made from recycled teak with the décor taking on driftwood tones to add to a feeling of wellbeing and comfort.

The resort's restaurant serves a varied international menu for lunch and dinner including seafood, steaks, Caribbean Rotis and Conch Fritters. Lunch on Jerk Chicken wraps, barbecued pulled pork or Cooper's Garden Salad then dine on filet of red snapper, aubergine rolls or chicken parmigiana. Bar stools & lounge furniture on the bar's deck are made from reclaimed fishing boats, creating the perfect place to watch the amazing Caribbean sunset. Breakfast is served in a beachfront pavilion which also provides a shaded area in which to relax, while a coffee shop serves drinks, cakes and pastries throughout the day with free WiFi available. The resort's Rum Bar boasts the largest collection of rums in the British Virgin Islands, while a microbrewery produces beers which are served in the bars.

Cooper Island Beach Club is one of the best diving and snorkelling locations in the BVIs, with over 60 sites to choose from including Wreck Alley, where four vessels have been sunk. Sail Caribbean Divers are professionals who are on hand to set up fantastic scuba diving experiences and provide air-fills, dive trips and a range of PADI courses. There is also an on-site dive shop.

Other activities include kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, day sails and powerboat charters to visit Virgin Gorda & The Baths, as well as deep sea fishing. Guests may choose to learn to sail on a Colgate 26’, enjoy a day’s sailing with a captain at the helm or rent a 15’ RIB.

The island's Sea Grape Boutique encourages guests to ‘buy local’ in support of local craftsmen and artists as well as selling clothing including beach and swimwear.

Located just a few miles south east of Tortola, Cooper Island is a perfect stop off point for visiting yachts. Over 30 Moor Seacure moorings are available in the bay suitable for boats up to 60ft in length/20 net tons. Visitors have access to the beach bar, gift shop and the beachfront restaurant for lunch and dinner, and can enjoy services including free Wi-Fi, shower facilities, snorkelling and swimming. Sail Caribbean Divers supply air fills, offer dive trips and rentals.
